Farewell to Windows 98 . July 11th marks the end of the road for Windows 98 support from Microsoft. After recieving a 2 year stay of execution in 2004, security updates for the highly popular operating system are to cease. However, DNS strongly recommends that Windows 98 users update to the lastest Windows XP SP2 operating system due to a major flaw within Windows 98 that will not be resolved (details..).
